I accept referred litigation files from other lawyers. And I respect the relationship you have with your client. Which means your client will remain your client during and after the crisis. When lawyers have referred litigation matters to me the end of the process has usually found both client and solicitor grateful for the outcome. The referring solicitor had their relationship with the client remain intact and sometimes enhanced; the client appreciated that their lawyer was adept enough to know where to send them if something litigious occurred. Many solicitors do not know where to send their clients when a dispute arises., They want to help but don't know how to ensure that the lawyer they direct their client to will not make matters worse. I am barrister, I only do trial work. That is all I have done for over 30 years. My skills enable me to navigate a dispute to an effective resolution. I will not be taking over your client's commercial matters and I will not refer the client's solicitor work to other lawyers. I am interested in helping the client deal with the crisis they have and I possess the skills to do that effectively. Your client will respect you for referring them to me and I will respect that your client is your client.
